How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

This grant is amazing! We very much appreciate this grant as it helps us adopt out the tough kitties. With this grant, we had seniors, FIV+, blind, tripods, and more adopted. We were especially excited about the FIV+ kitties that are often overlooked because of the diagnosis and biases against it.

Many of the cats adopted out had been in foster care for more than a year! One specific cat, Stevie, was a cat we had that was on prescription food for a diagnosis of IBS. Knowing that the more expensive food would be a deterrent, we used the grant money to lower her adoption fee and then give the adopter the difference in food to get her started. Stevie got her chance because of this grant.
