How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
With this grant, we were able to purchase feed and hay in addition to a warm blanket for Tina. We were able provide vet care, hoof care, vaccinations, and a dental for Jolene, who had sharp points on her teeth that needed correction, and a dental check on Tina.

Tina (first photo) and Jolene (second photo) both came from abuse and neglect situations. They were extremely scared of human touch and would run when anyone was near them. They have come a very long way.
Tina is a 20 year old pony who is UTD on vaccines, dental and exam. She came from a bad situation and is learning to trust again. She has been growing by leaps and bounds on her trust with humans again and we are so proud of her how far she has come!
She enjoys going on walks and is getting better with a farrier. She happily takes treats from your hand. She does have Cushings and takes a simple pill daily with her food. Things are still scary for her and is easily spooked, but she would love someone who has patience to show her the way.
With the Petfinder Foundation grant, she and Jolene were able to receive all the care and supplies they needed while waiting for their forever homes.
