The P.L.A.Y Pet Beds Grant helped provide cozy, comfortable beds for cats and dogs in HSCC's care. When our pets are comfortable and well-rested, we know they are more likely to have positive interactions with potential adopters.

Baker first came into HSCC’s care in March 2016 as a 5-year-old stray cat. He was adopted and lived for eight years with his family until they were no longer able to care for him. Baker was relinquished into HSCC’s care again in January 2024, now a 13-year-old with some medical and behavioral needs.

Through medical treatment, patience, and compassionate care, Baker was finally ready to meet his new family and was adopted in February. The Petfinder Foundation P.L.A.Y beds helped Baker rest and relax at our shelter until he found his purrrfect match.

Baker’s bed was washed and is being reused by other cats in our care while they wait to meet their new families.
