Fur Ever Yours Dog Rescue: Senior Pet Adoption Assistance Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The Senior Pet Adoption Assistance helped our 10-year-old rescue appear more attractive to possible homes. Due to her age, she would be overlooked. Lady, a Chihuahua, went to her new forever home with air-dried dog food, treats, supplements, a dog bed, a wellness visit with her new vet, and supplements. Lady's adoption fee was also subsidized by the grant.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Lady was in our care for almost four months. She had health issues that needed to be addressed before she could be ready for her new home.

Her health issues included a mammary tumor, lipomas, and a hernia. Lady also needed a dental cleaning and some extraction. The Senior Pet Adoption Assistance Grant helps senior pets get adopted and provides them the comforts a new family may not necessarily be able to afford.
