How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We now have a play area where dogs who climb fences can play. We utilized this shortly after installation for a husky/German shepherd cross who could climb our regular fence. The new space gives these climbers a safe area in which to play and expend energy.

How many pets did this grant help?

It is unknown; however, we have received several German shepherd-type dogs lately who have all shown a propensity to climb.

Chase was a beautiful German shepherd/husky mix who came into our care as a stray. He proved to be a climber, however, but because of the new fencing modification, he was able to spend time in one of our play areas without our having to worry about him climbing out. He has since been adopted.
