Adele, a senior Pekingese mix, was surrendered to a shelter by her owner, who could no longer care for her. She was rescued by Fetch Foster and Rescue in January 2022 and placed in a loving foster home.

Adele was considered a “last chance” dog because of her advanced age and medical care needs, and finding a forever home for her was challenging, as most families prefer a younger dog with many years ahead of them and minimal medical-care needs.

In March 2022, Adele found her forever home and was adopted by a wonderful family. Grant funds from the Petfinder Foundation covered the cost of Adele’s adoption fee and paid for her medical expenses post-adoption.

Fetch is grateful for the grant award, as we know it has greatly helped Adele’s new family provide the care she needs even with the rising cost of veterinary care. Adele is living out her golden years in a warm and loving home, just as she deserves.
