Bandit's Buddies Rescue: Bar Dog Operation Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The Bar Dog Operation Grant provided vital funding for the veterinary services that prepare our dogs for adoption (spay/neuter surgery, rabies and DA2PP vaccinations, and microchips). Six dogs received these services and became ready for loving homes of their own.
Since our limited resources have decreased because of higher food and supply costs and fewer monetary and product donations from our supporters because of the economy, these dogs may not otherwise have had the opportunity to find their forever homes. Bandit's Buddies Rescue is truly grateful for the Petfinder Foundation's assistance in enhancing our adoption efforts.
How many pets did this grant help?
Six dogs will be helped this year through the grant.
Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Whitney was rescued in late July after a welfare check was made on her elderly owners. They were tragically found deceased in their extremely hot home during a heatwave.
Whitney was treated for existing health issues and also provided standard veterinary services with generous assistance from the Petfinder Foundation’s 2023 Bar Dog Operation Grant.
This sweet girl is now healthy and awaiting adoption to a loving home where she will be happy and cherished for the rest of her life.
You can meet Whitney and her companion, Walter, here.
Update: Whitney and Walter have been adopted (third photo).
