How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

This grant helped place 34 large dogs (50 lbs.+) into loving, forever homes! Large-dog adoptions fell off bad this year and, without this grant, the dogs would have continued to stay in the shelter. Having, for the first time ever, adoptions of $0 made the difference in the lives of the dogs in a big way. Thanks to this grant, more people were open to adopting the big guys.

Rufus (first photo) was a Lonely Heart, meaning he had spent longer than six months at the shelter waiting for his forever home. He had waited for one year and four months. This grant paid for his adoption fee and allowed him to have a family of his very own (second photo)!
