How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

With this grant, we were able to provide necessary medical tests as well as to get Thor neutered. In addition, the grant allowed us to waive the adoption fee and provide heartworm and flea and tick medication for Thor's new family.

Thor’s owner passed away and a family member initially took him in. Due to housing restrictions, the family member was not able to keep Thor, so they surrendered him to HSYC.

We had no medical background for Thor, so we had the veterinarian perform blood work to ensure he was healthy. We also had Thor neutered.

Happily, Thor was adopted into a loving family on Friday, April 6! We are so excited for him to have a forever home!
