Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Farrow had come to the rescue in May 2025 with three other, younger cats. He came from a home where he was loved, but due to circumstances beyond his control, was not given the medical care he required.

When he came to the rescue, he had a bad tooth infection and was constantly drooling. When we took him to the vet for dental work, it was determined he had grade-4 periodontal disease. He had seven teeth extracted that day. He is healing up just fine from the dental work.

Due to his age (8-10 years old), we requested bloodwork to be done prior to sedation, and it was determined that Farrow is diabetic. We do not know how long he has been diabetic, but he has never been treated for it prior to coming to the rescue. Our plan is to get him started on his treatment plan and get him feeling much better before adopting him out.

We have a possible adopter who has shown interest in adopting Farrow, but the cost of supplies is causing her to be hesitant about adopting him.

Our main goal is to find loving caring homes for our cats, and if we can help in any way to reduce the financial strain on a possible adopter, it allows us to find more homes for all the kitties in our care and continue rescuing cats in need.

We will work on getting Farrow set up with all the supplies needed and then we will discuss adoption with the interested party.

You can meet Farrow here.
