The Cat's Sass Rescue: Purina Canada Happy Paws & Hearts Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We were able to get Neveah a fecal transplant, as well as in-depth fecal testing and an ultrasound. Neveah has been with the rescue for a year and has had diarrhea for about eight months. Despite numerous tests and antibiotics, nothing seemed to work. Dr. Kate mentioned she has had success with fecal transplants with a few other pets, so she recommended we give it a try.

It's been a week since the procedure and Neveah still has a couple weeks of antibiotics to finalize the process, but we are already noticing a positive change. She feels more comfortable and playful. Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to help sweet Neveah feel better and hopefully find her very own furever home!

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Neveah has been with our rescue for a year and has had chronic diarrhea for about eight months. We are hoping the fecal transplant with improve her gut health and she can become healthy enough to find her very own furever home.

She is a sweet girl who deserves all the love and care in the world. She is a favorite among everyone at the rescue.

Neveah is feeling a little better everyday, and with continued supportive care, we have no doubt she will be healthy enough to adopt out to a wonderful home!
