Needy Paws Animal Shelter: Play Pet Beds Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
By providing low-profile, supportive beds, we were able to better meet the needs of our senior animals and those with disabilities who struggle to climb or jump onto Kuranda-style raised beds. These beds give our more vulnerable pets a safe, comfortable place to rest, reduce strain on their joints, and improve their overall comfort and well-being during their stay in our care.

BooBoo is a senior dog who is partly blind and deaf. She was surrendered to Needy Paws after her owner was unable to care for her during a mental-health crisis.
The P.L.A.Y. Pet Bed Grant has helped BooBoo have a comfortable space to rest while avoiding climbing onto a raised bed. Before we received this grant, BooBoo’s only option was to lie on a pile of blankets on the floor.
We are so thankful to have received this grant that allows BooBoo and many other animals a safe space to rest while awaiting their forever homes.
