High Desert Humane Society Globe: Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We were able to buy needed medications (Terramycin, Albon, and Itrafungol) and purchase enough dog and cat food (wet and dry) to take us through the summer months when we have the highest populations, including kittens. The balance after those purchases went towards parvo tests.

Bluey, a deaf Aussie, was having a bit of a hard time acclimating at the shelter. He was a really sweet boy, but since he was deaf, he obviously needed someone experienced in handling deaf dogs.

He was seen on Petfinder by a lady in California and she drove all the way to us to adopt Bluey. Bonus: She has another deaf Aussie at home and had the experience needed to give Bluey the best possible home!

And Rosey, our sweet little dilute calico, found a home with someone who drove up from Phoenix!
