Cherished Tails Senior Sanctuary: Emergency Medical Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
We received a grant to assist with the surgery for Sandra D, a young dog who came into our care after being on the euthanasia list at a Phoenix shelter. She had multiple fractures, including a transverse fracture, and we were hoping to save her leg given that she is only about 2 years old. She had the surgery on April 12. The surgery was successful; she recovered fully and has since been adopted.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Sandra is only around 2-3 years old and is a fun and active girl. Her foster enjoyed caring for this little love bug for the three months she spent in the rescue and her new mom is so grateful that she was saved!
This is what her new mom shared: “Sandra is AMAZING and we love her so much! She snuggles with me and puts her head on my chest. She and Wynston are best buddies and play all the time. Sandra was able to have some supervised time in the pool and loved it. She even figured out how to get herself out. She is SO smart!”
