Living the Dream Rescue: Cat Enrichment Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
We used the grant funds to replace the old carpet cat trees in two cat adoption centers and two on foster catios. The Kuranda cat trees are completely sanitizable and we are still using many of them from the previous grant we received several years ago. The kitties will be able to play on these for years to come and be safe from disease, as the Kuranda trees are able to sterilized, compared to carpet trees that can harbor illnesses such as upper respiratory viruses and ringworm.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Sun came to Living the Dream Rescue as a young rescue kitten from a shelter that was unable to house her due to her having ringworm.
At Living the Dream Rescue, we don’t euthanize for curable medical conditions such as ringworm. Sun was treated for ringworm in the safety of a foster home and then put up for adoption with her siblings.
Sun was able to run and play in the adoption center and loved the Kuranda cat trees! She spent her days playing with other kittens in the center and using the trees to show off her parkour skills!
