How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
We are very grateful to be a recipient of the 2024 P.L.A.Y. Beds Grant! Many of the dogs we rescue come from shelters where they have had little to no comfortable bedding. We were thrilled to provide our foster families with P.L.A.Y. beds, ensuring that the dogs in our care have a cozy and supportive place to rest as they transition and settle into their foster homes.
The P.L.A.Y. beds have been an incredible blessing, offering comfort to our dogs — from puppies to seniors — while also being versatile enough to bring along to adoption events. Whether in foster homes, at events, or on the road, these beds are a valuable resource that helps us provide the best care for our dogs. Thank you for awarding us this grant!

The P.L.A.Y. Pet Beds Grant helped Meatball (first four photos), who was rescued from a San Diego County animal shelter. He now lives with his foster family and was provided with a large-size P.L.A.Y. bed, which quickly became his favorite spot to relax!
Whether Meatball is lounging on the couch or receiving treats, the P.L.A.Y. bed’s soft cushioning gives him the perfect place to unwind after a big day. Even his foster fur-siblings have claimed the P.L.A.Y. bed as a cozy spot to curl up.

4/11/2025 Meatball Update: Meatball was adopted! He was a part of our recent Success Story for the P.L.A.Y Beds grant. After 7 long months at the shelter and 2 weeks in Passion for Pitties foster care, Meatball found his forever family and they love him so much! 🥹💛 He has a new fur-sibling too!
The P.L.A.Y. Beds Grant also helped Kali (photos 5-8), a gentle 6-year-old female who was rescued from a California shelter. Kali was given an extra-large P.L.A.Y. bed at her foster home, which has become one of her favorite lounging spots! Whether Kali is basking in the sun or curling up for a restful nap, the extra-large bed provides all the space she needs to stretch out and fully relax.
