Kitten Tales Rescue: Cat Enrichment Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Kitten Tales Rescue was able to increase our enrichment tools for our foster kittens and has helped some of our older, more shy cats become more confident and present. We hope this will help these older cats get adopted. The grant was used to purchase cat perch areas such as cat trees and wall-mount shelves for vertical access. We have already observed a number of resident cats who have been with us since they were kittens be adopted over the past few months.

Leia came to our rescue as a kitten in October 2022. She was very shy and preferred to stay out of sight when potential adopters came to meet with our available fosters.

She became much more outgoing once we put in the wall shelving units, as she was able to be high and observe prior to engaging with potential adopters. She was adopted to a loving family and has transitioned wonderfully into their home.
