Yoyo's Love of Rescue: Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The 2026 Operation Grant significantly helped our organization fund the basic day-to-day needs of our operation costs such as dog food, blankets, and vaccinations. This allowed us to focus more on dog adoptions by freeing up funds to travel all over the San Francisco Bay area to meet with potential adopters.

This resulted in more dogs being adopted, especially for Golden Boy, who had several meet-and-greets across the Bay Area. A perfect match was found, and he is now living happily in his new loving forever home.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Our organization truly believes in making adoptions as easy as possible for the adopter. Rather than having potential adopters across the state of California travel to our location to meet the dog, we always bring the dog to them, to either their home or any other location convenient for them.

This traveling takes a toll on our overall expenses, so we kept scheduling meet-and-greets to a minimum frequency.

One of our dogs who was posted for adoption, Golden Boy, had numerous potential adopters in various cities who were interested in meeting him. With the help of this grant, we were able to offset some of our operation costs, which allowed us to have extra funds for travel.

After meeting with potential adopters in the SF Bay Area and Sacramento area, we were able to place him in a perfect-fit forever home. We thank the Petfinder Foundation for making this happen.
