How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
This grant allowed us to offer lower-cost adoption fees to 35 adult canine and felines. People like to look for younger puppies and kittens, and adults are often hard to get adopted out. This allowed our consumers to be able to afford the fee or made the adults more presentable with the lower fee.

Kirby is a 2-year-old cattle dog mix. He has lived at the kennel since we got him in March 2026. He is still up for adoption, but we do take him to most all Saturday adoption events at PetSmart. Most people aren’t looking for a working-class dog. We feel he will make someone a great companion.
