We spent this money to help cover bills when an influx of animals came to us from local shelters at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This grant helped us commit to being able to take in Marty, a pit-mix puppy with specific medical issues, from a local shelter at the start of the pandemic.

Marty, an 8-month-old pit mix, came to us from a local shelter right at the start of the pandemic. He came to us with demodex mange, but we were able to commit to getting him the medical care he needed thanks to funding from this grant. We were able to quickly get him into a foster home with one of our longtime volunteers, who also trained and socialized Marty to make him a better candidate for adoption. Thanks to the work we were able to do with Marty, his skin eventually cleared up and he was adopted by a great family!
