How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Colorado Animal Rescue's funding from the Petfinder Foundation's Kia Pet Adoption Grant helped our organization by covering adoption fees for several animals. We held an adoption special over a two-week period to gain the community's attention and are excited to report that we helped find homes for 34 pets. Twenty cats and 14 dogs found loving families thanks to the Kia Pet Adoption Grant.

A couple of weeks before the adoption special, a litter of five puppies and their mom were relinquished to our shelter.

The puppies weren’t ready to be adopted yet, so they spent some time in a foster home before they were ready to be spayed/neutered and posted for adoption.

We named them after vegetables in celebration of spring blooming into summer: Carrot, Cauliflower, Pepper, Celery, Cabbage. All the puppies were adopted during our Kia Pet Adoption Special!
