How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Thanks to this grant, we were able to offer significantly reduced adoption fees for our animals. We started this program on May 16, 2024, offering anywhere from a $100-200 reductions in fees. By June 17, funding was completely utilized and had resulted in 21 amazing dogs finding their forever homes. Many of them had been waiting quite some time with no interest!

The 21 dogs adopted included three mamas who watched as their pups found homes one by one, but waited patiently a very long time for their forever families:

Donatella (first photo) came to us as an owner-surrender with her litter of seven 2-week-old puppies. She spent 495 days with us.

Madison (second photo) was a loving mama we pulled from county shelter with her five little babies. She was adopted after 582 days with us.

Marci (third photo) was found in the Redlands area of Miami (a dog dumping ground) as a very pregnant stray. She gave birth two hours after arriving at our facility. She found her forever home after 231 days with us.
