How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
Kong toys were given to new adopters as part of their goodie bag for each cat that found a new home. The first report I submitted showed cats playing with the Kong toys. Adopters liked sharing with us how their cats loved playing with the Kong toys.
During the second Kong-toy giveaway week, the rescue also gave Kong toys out to each newly adopted cat or cats. The new pet parents appreciated the Kong toy as part of their goodie bag and agreed to the adoption picture with the toy.

Santa Paws has been busy over the past several weeks preparing our cats and kittens for their new homes in time for Christmas. Kitty O’Neil (first photo), a beautiful 17-week-old seal point Siamese girl, was adopted on Sunday, Dec. 21, and is off to her new home. Santa Mom was excited about the family’s Christmas kitty! She will have a cat sister in her new home.
From Kitty O’Neil’s bio, the adopter knew that Kitty would fit right in and completed an online application to hold her. She was happy to receive the Kong kitten toy as part of her goodie bag. There is joy in seeing one of our rescues go to a new home at Christmas!
Major Cutie’s (second photo) adopter is a previous adopter of three of our prior rescue cats. He read Major Cutie’s story and knew he just had to adopt him. Major Cutie, a beautiful long-haired black cat, was previously adopted and then returned. The adopter stopped by our adoption event and placed an application for him on Saturday. On Sunday, he returned and took Major Cutie home to meet his three other cats. Major Cutie’s new dad was so excited. He posed for a picture with Major Cutie and his new Kong toy, which was the perfect size.
