Calhoun County Canine Shelter: Play Pet Beds Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The beds were distributed to the dogs living at the North Central Correctional Facility for use with dogs in the training programs. All dogs there have crates to sleep in and some use the space under the bed. The beds are being used to keep them just a little more comfortable, as we traditionally rely on blanket donations. They are also being used to train dogs to go to their spot.

Kira is a husky mix with a lot of energy! Having some training has helped her a lot, but she is still waiting for a home. She is learning all kinds of commands in the program, has gotten a lot of socialization, and is a great dog!
