Animal Allies Humane Society: Play Pet Beds Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Animal Allies is located in Northwestern Minnesota and often has very unpredictable and extreme weather. Summers are incredibly hot and winters are extremely cold, so providing beds to our animals that can either be warming or cooling has been a nice addition to providing comfortable care to our cats and dogs. Not only are the beds comfortable, they are foldable and come in many different sizes to accommodate any pet and kennel size.

One of our shelter dogs, Barry, loved to spend his time in one of our offices, often up on the desk, as he was small enough to be comfortable there. To make him comfortable and make sure he didn’t slide with his nails on the desk, we provided him with a P.L.A.Y. bed that was just his size. He loved it and spent the majority of our open-shelter hours in the office and enjoying his bed. Barry has since been adopted.
