King's Harvest Pet Rescue: Dog Enrichment Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Thanks to this wonderful grant, we were able to build a playground for our dogs in the yard! We can't express enough how thankful we are to have safe playground equipment for our dogs to run and play on. This has already made an impact on our dogs, especially our long-term dogs, who are making good use of the equipment! They are playing and running around and enjoying the yard time even more. Enrichment equipment helps our dogs not become depressed and keeps their minds and bodies active while they're here with us.

Durango was getting restless at the shelter, but being able to spend time in the yard with the playground equipment kept his spirits up and kept him in a good mood! He was able to get adopted without ever sinking into the shelter depression we see a lot of dogs suffer from.
