With the funds provided by this emergency grant, we were able to afford to get Belle, one of the dogs in our care, lifesaving heart surgery to repair her PDA.

Belle was born with a patent ductus arteriosus, a genetic heart defect. Without repair, she was not expected to live past her first birthday. She received the surgery and found her forever home with a vet tech! She now has a bright future ahead of her and will hopefully live well into her senior years.
