Humane Indiana, Inc.: Cat Enrichment Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Thanks to the Petfinder Foundation's $500 grant, Humane Indiana's cat haven is now a feline paradise! The grant decked out the space with climbing structures, play areas, and cozy hideaway beds -- talk about a kitty dreamland! Mealtime got an upgrade with puzzle feeders, and the cats are loving it. But that's not all: Interactive toys, pet lick mats, treats, and grooming tools have added extra flair, boosting these cats' confidence and charm. Now they're not just shelter residents; they're the coolest cats in town, all thanks to the Petfinder Foundation's paw-some grant!

Rowanda (first photo) is a 10-month-old girl who is super friendly and outgoing. She came to us from another shelter and has been battling an upper-respiratory infection since coming in. She loves playing with toys and staying busy. Meet Rowanda here.

Sundae (second photo) is a 3-year-old girl who is in our free-roaming cat room. She does great with all the cats and is super playful. She was transferred to us from another shelter and is waiting to find her forever home. Meet Sundae here.

Theo (third photo) is a 2-year-old guy who was found as a stray and brought to us from a local animal control. He was nervous when he first came in but is now soliciting attention from everyone. He loves playing with toys and is hoping to get adopted soon. Meet Theo here.

Pointsettia (fourth photo) is a 3-year-old girl who came to us from another shelter. She is in our free-roaming cat room and does great with the other cats. She is more reserved, but once she warms up, she loves attention. She is currently waiting to be adopted.

Bubbles (fifth photo) is a 5-year-old girl who was surrendered to another shelter and transferred to us because she was not getting adopted. She weighs almost 20 lbs. and will happily walk up to anyone for pets and attention. She was only at our shelter for six days before finding her forever home!

Hilde (sixth photo) is a 6-year-old girl who is as sweet as can be. She came to us from another shelter and is friendly with everyone she meets. She is currently waiting to get adopted. Meet Hilde here.
