HELP The Animals, Inc.: KONG Toys Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
We have a lot of big dogs, and we need a lot of Kongs! Every evening, every dog gets a Kong stuffed with a mixture of wet and dry food to help them settle in before staff leave for the night. Kongs are very durable, but not indestructible and do eventually wear out. This grant helped us to continue to provide quality enrichment to the dogs in our care.
How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Tyson is our second-longest stay dog, and has been with us for over three years. He takes comfort in always having a Kong in his mouth (we call it his emotional support Kong); it helps him deal with the daily stress of the shelter.
While Tyson is very sweet, he is also the strongest dog we have and not good with other dogs. This makes him difficult to place, so he is still waiting for his forever home. Thank goodness he’ll always have an emotional support Kong thanks to the Petfinder Foundation!
Tyson is available for adoption at HELP The Animals and listed on Petfinder here.
