The Kia Pet Adoption grant helped Always and Furever continue our mission to find each and every dog or cat a forever family. The grant funds immediately impacted adoptions by removing the financial barriers for rural families, allowing them to adopt their new furry family members.

Last December, Always and Furever assisted an overcrowded rural shelter by taking in a mama dog (first photo) and her seven puppies. The mama was found wandering the streets and had given birth to her puppies in the shelter.

Each dog was named for the season: Mrs. Claus, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Donner, and Blitzen.

Just in time, Always and Furever received the 2024 Kia Pet Adoption Grant. The puppies were ready for the remainder of their vaccinations, microchips, and spay/neuter. The adoption fees of another 13 dogs and cats in our care were also funded by this grant.

Of the seven puppies, five immediately found their forever homes and two are in loving foster homes. Mama herself, renamed Disney, is also experiencing the comforts of life with a loving foster, forever saying goodbye to life on the streets.
