How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

This grant was given to us at the perfect time. We had been hoping for a catio for our garage for many years. We received a grant from the Petfinder Foundation and were able to have a custom-made catio put in the garage in February 2024.

How many pets did this grant help?

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Soon after our catio was completed, we discovered a home with 50 cats. We immediately had to remove the cats from the home for their and the home owners’ safety. So we took in 46 cats in three days.

The catio allowed us to provide a safe space for many cats at once so that we could save all of the cats. Please see attached pictures of the cats enjoying their safe and clean space.

Had all 46 cats spayed and neutered. We have had three adoptions and should have five more this weekend.

All of these cats were able to enjoy the catio while they were waiting for their new homes.
