Ashland Animal Rescue Fund: Capital Improvement Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Funds from this grant award were used to purchase new kennel runs for the dogs in our care.

Previous chain-link kennels were old and damaged, causing safety issues for both dogs and volunteers. The newly purchased kennels have several features that improve the day-to-day care of the animals, including secure latches and raised side panels for cleaning. The design of these kennels allows for easier repairs or modifications if needed.

How many pets did this grant help?

14-20 kennel dogs at a time, hundreds over the life of the kennel runs!

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

Gator is an energetic dog who could hardly be contained. He was one of many dogs who resided in a new kennel run made possible by this grant award. Fortunately for Gator, he was recently adopted!
