Operation CatSnip of Kentucky, Inc.: Cat Enrichment Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
This grant provided elevated bedding for cats in our care. These beds are easy to keep disinfected and therefore lead to healthier cats. The cats also enjoy curling up on the warm pillow pads. Every day, you can find all 30-plus cats snoozing on the trees or the cots.
The beds, especially, have been a huge hit! The cats all love to snuggle together on the soft beds on the cots. The bedding is so easy to clean and looks so nice in photographs versus random pet fleece blankets that are on the floor. We love having the beds elevated!
From the cats and us, thank you, Petfinder Foundation, for this paw-some opportunity and for the Kuranda Shelter Program for offering a discount to shelters!

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Oliver Orange (first photo) was found as stray at a local elementary school. He was barely one year of age and very malnourished. Someone tagged our director on social media and off she went to save the day. One year later, Oliver Orange is a very large boy! He gained so much muscle and grew into his height. He is very loving and would make a great pet for someone. He is currently available. You can meet Oliver Orange here.
Raven (second and third photos) was a petite little female found as a stray at our local fire department. She got to utilize the awesome Kuranda towers before she flew the coop this week to her new home!
Mollie (fourth photo) was a stray who was found with a McDonald’s Flurry cup around her neck. She, with Raven, got to enjoy the Kuranda towers before she got adopted this week.
The fifth photo shows several of our other adoptables enjoying one of the cots.
