How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We were able to use the grant to cover the adoption fees of four cats, which helped all four to get adopted! The grant also helped get them adopted more quickly, because none of the adopters backed out during the adoption process. That sometimes happens because we are slower to review adoption applications since we are a very small organization. We believe the adopters were more patient with the process knowing that their fee was covered.

The grant actually helped us get an additional fifth cat adopted because the adopter of one of the four we used the grant for decided to adopt an additional cat.

Findlay, Fiona, Mochi, and Nola were the kittens we used the grant for. All four were adopted!

Since Fiona’s adoption fee was covered, her adopter decided to adopt both her and her best kitten friend, Tam! We are so happy these two got to stay together. So Tam was an additional cat who benefited from the grant even though his adoption fee wasn’t covered by it.

Mochi and Nola (siblings) were also adopted together! Nola is a special-needs cat and has to be on a special diet. Our adoption coordinator stated that she believed the grant was instrumental in the adopter’s decision to adopt Nola too.
