How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The dogs at Mason County Animal Shelter greatly appreciated the Kong toys! Kongs stuffed with treats, peanut butter, or Kong Stuff'N help to occupy the dogs and reduce their stress in the very noisy shelter environment. Some of the dogs also enjoy fetching the toys in the play yard. We have had Kongs on our shelter’s wish list for some time and the grant was truly appreciated!

One of the dogs the grant helped is Duke.
Duke is a long-timer at our shelter who has been in the shelter over a year now. We created a special video of him with his buddy Travis (second photo) at Christmas, being presented with Kong toys from the grant. As you can see in the photos, Duke preferred the Kong toy over other toys he was offered.
While Duke is waiting for his fur-ever home, these toys are crucial to his enrichment and enjoyment of his time in the shelter. He thanks you very much!
