Barren River Animal Welfare Association: Dog Enrichment Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The $700 in grant funds were used to purchase enrichment equipment for our outdoor exercise yards. The items include exercise items that will provide engagement and better "play time" for our dogs. Also, we were able to purchase two large sun shades to provide a more comfortable environment during hot Kentucky summers.

This is a picture of Apple, who was recently adopted. She is typical of the dogs who enter our shelter. She needed a lot of space to run and exercise while she was with us. This was a great outcome for her, and we know the equipment we were able to purchase with these funds will make things better for all our dogs.
