How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

Most of the doggos at our shelter at this time are medium to large size. Several have been with us for six months or longer. We started our promotion for free/reduced adoption fees for any dog 25 lbs. or more, and within two days have placed two of our larger dogs into their forever homes!

Finn came to us two days before he was set to be euthanized at a high-[intake] shelter.

He had been with us for five months. He was adopted by an elderly gentleman on a fixed income who otherwise would not have been able to afford the adoption fee. He had recently lost his dog of over 10 years and was ready for another forever friend.

Thanks to this grant, Finn is in what we feel to be the perfect home for him, with the perfect dad! Happy tails, Finn!
