How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The 2023 Kia Pet Adoption Grant helped 91 pets find their new homes. With this funding, we hosted Waived Fee Wednesdays throughout January 2024. In total, 46 cats and 45 dogs were adopted during our Waived Fee Wednesday adoption specials.

One of the pets adopted on one of our Waived Fee Wednesdays courtesy of the 2023 Kia Pet Adoption grant was Pops.

Pops’s dad met him while visiting the shelter. Pops reminded him so much of his old dog that he decided to take him for a walk. Well, that walk turned into a ride home for the weekend and that ride home for the weekend turned into a forever home.

Pops fit right in at home with his other dog and the three of them became inseparable.

After spending six months total in our shelter system, Pops was finally adopted on one of our Waived Fee Wednesdays in January, courtesy of the 2023 Kia Pet Adoption Grant.
