It's no secret we always stand behind the health and safety of our dogs no matter the cost — but the support of an organization like the Petfinder Foundation makes it a little easier to do the work we do. Their generosity helps us in times of emergency and we are so thankful.

We were able to use an Emergency Medical Grant from the Petfinder Foundation to save Momma Rachel and her nine babes with the emergency c-section she needed. We are SO incredibly grateful. Momma and babes are perfect!

Momma Rachel was a stray found pregnant in Tennessee. She came to us at a time when our medical fund was running incredibly low after having many emergency-needs dogs. When Rachel went into labor and pushed for hours without success, we knew she needed an emergency surgery right away or she would lose the puppies. So it didn’t matter the cost. But with support from this Emergency Medical Grant, we were able to offset some of the over $6,000 spent to save this dog and her puppies.

Rachel and her puppies went on to safety and are all in loving, forever homes. Her family saw the post thanking the Petfinder Foundation for its generosity in this grant and commented about how much they love her and how grateful they are for her being in their lives: “Thank you, Petfinder Foundation and Great Dog! Momma, now Penny, has been with us for about three weeks and we’re absolutely in love! She’s the perfect addition to our family!”
