We're excited to share the impact of our first grant from Kia and the Petfinder Foundation, which helped us immensely with the adoption fees for four of our pets. This grant was a game-changer for us and the families who adopted the four dogs.

In the heart of Massachusetts lived a spirited 10-year-old coonhound named Daisy. Her journey is a heartfelt story of resilience, love, and finding a place to call home.
Daisy’s adventure began with an adoption that seemed like a perfect match. However, as time passed, her adopter realized that managing Daisy’s energetic nature was more challenging than anticipated. Feeling overwhelmed and without informing us, they surrendered Daisy to a shelter far away in Tennessee.
Upon discovering Daisy’s situation, we were determined to reunite her with the warmth and love she deserved. The distance posed a challenge, but a compassionate pet sitter in Tennessee stepped in as Daisy’s temporary guardian. While we searched for a new family for Daisy, this pet sitter diligently cared for her.
For six months, the search continued. But as it turned out, Daisy’s true home was with the person by her side all along. The pet sitter, who had grown to adore Daisy, decided to adopt her, filling their lives with joy.
The financial aspect of this journey was significant, and a generous grant from Kia and the Petfinder Foundation graciously covered some of the expenses. This support eased the burden and played a crucial role in Daisy’s story.
Now, Daisy lives happily with her loving family and two furry siblings. Her days are filled with happiness and the simple pleasures of life. Her story reminds us of the power of perseverance and the unexpected paths to finding a forever home. Daisy’s tale is not just about her happiness but a celebration of the kindness and generosity that made her second chance possible.
