Jitterbug’s journey to her forever home was made possible thanks to the generosity of a senior pet adoption grant. As an older pup in need of medical care, including surgery to repair a luxating patella, Jitterbug faced obstacles that often make senior dogs harder to place. However, with the support of this grant, her medical needs were met, allowing her to move forward without limitations.
Because of this funding, Jitterbug’s future adopter is able to focus on giving her love and companionship without the burden of unexpected medical expenses.

Jitterbug’s adoption was made possible thanks to a generous senior pet adoption grant, which helped cover the medical care she needed to thrive. With this support, she found a loving home where she was cherished and adored. Unfortunately, life took an unexpected turn when her adopter had to transition into assisted living and could no longer care for her. Heartbroken but understanding, Jitterbug was returned to us.
While this wasn’t the ending we had hoped for, we know Jitterbug’s perfect forever home is still out there. She is a resilient and loving little girl who deserves another chance at happiness. We are grateful for the grant that helped her once before, and now we are determined to find her the home she truly deserves.
