How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
We are delighted to share an update on the utilization and impact of the generous donation of Kong toys provided by the Petfinder Foundation. These toys have been a valuable addition to our Dog Enrichment Program, helping to improve the quality of life for our canine residents.
The Kongs have been distributed among the dogs at our shelter, with special attention given to those in need of mental stimulation and enrichment. Our Dog Enrichment Committee has incorporated these toys into daily play sessions and training exercises.
The donation of Kong toys from the Petfinder Foundation has had a positive and lasting impact on the lives of our shelter dogs. We are incredibly grateful for your support and look forward to continuing our partnership to enhance the lives of animals in need.

One of the most notable beneficiaries of this donation is Alvin, a young Staffordshire terrier pup. Alvin and his sister, Brittany, were found as strays and brought to our shelter. Alvin is an energetic and affectionate dog who requires a great deal of mental and physical activity.
The Kong toys have been particularly beneficial for Alvin, keeping him occupied and mentally engaged. This has helped to reduce his stress levels and improve his overall well-being during his stay at the shelter.
