Furever Home: Cat Enrichment Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
This grant was a lifesaver and we are so incredibly grateful! With the funds we received, we were able to purchase four new cat trees and three new cubbies, along with a ton of really fun interactive toys that the cats all loved (except an interactive fish that flops – they found that to be a bit creepy and odd, which I'm not sure I blame them for).
Since we specialize in FeLV-positive cats, our adoption rates are low. It's hard finding adopters to open their hearts to these special-needs creatures. As a results, many of the cats are in our care long-term. Being able to freshen up their enrichment areas is crucial to their mental health. This grant went a long way in helping us with that. Thank you so much!

Miley is rambunctious, crazy kitten! She is playful and active and full of energy. She is prone to spurts of zoomies and loves to climb (in between naps and cuddles).
Because she is FeLV-positive and prone to seizures (which are completely manageable with medication), we find her to be one of our harder-to-place kittens. But she doesn’t take that personally! She has a zest for life and enjoys every moment. For Miley, it’s quality over quantity. She’s determined to make the best out of every day.
