Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.
Sunny came to us from an animal-control agency that caught him after he was abandoned outdoors to fend for himself with two broken front paws.
Our vet initially thought Sunny might need an amputation to live pain-free, so we waited for the swelling to decrease while he got proper care. After a series of x-rays, it was determined that the bones were healing safely on their own, and Sunny gained mobility and confidence!
He recently reached a proper weight and his health was strong enough to undergo his neuter surgery. He is living happily in his foster home while continuing to mend until he’ll be ready for his adoption to a forever home!
