How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

By reducing the fees of 34 of our long-term residents, they will hopefully find new homes by the end of the year. So far, 12 have been adopted, and the others will keep their lowered fees until they are adopted.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

By far the best story is that of Lilah, who was surrendered by her family due to living changes. They later moved into a place where they could have pets again. They were delighted to see that we still had Lilah, and made an appointment to come and adopt her.

They had missed their rabbit a lot and the reunion was great, but the surprise was that, with the lower fees, they wanted her to have a buddy, and selected Sheldon (also a reduced-fee rabbit) to become her best friend.

The two bunnies took to each other immediately and went to their new home together!
