How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
The grant from the Petfinder Foundation for 10 Chill Pad Pet Beds has provided much-needed comfort to our dogs, particularly our longer-stay residents. Many of the dogs who come to the shelter have never experienced sleeping inside on a comfortable bed. Since we are a small, volunteer-led shelter in a rural Mississippi county, relieving us of the need to purchase bedding for the kennels has been impactful.
The presence of cozy, attractive beds has not only enhanced the well-being of our adoptable pets but has also made them more appealing to potential adopters.

Violet is an 8-year-old momma dog who was abandoned with her two small puppies. Violet adores humans and loves her Doggy Day Out trips. As a rising senior dog, Violet likes a nice indoor living space with a comfortable bed. Being able to offer her a soft bed to lie on, especially when summer puppy season depleted our supply of beds, is great for her.
Violet is happy to put the mom life behind her and is ready for more days out with humans.
