How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

The Cat Enrichment Grant that we were awarded helped our cats and organization so much. Before we were awarded this grant, our cats did not have any enrichment activities other than staff playing with them individually. Now, because of these funds, the cats have toys to ensure that each one is getting their own individual time. They are more active, more social, and we have had nearly all our cats become adopted during this time frame.

How many pets did this grant help?

During this calendar year we expect this grant will help more than 500 cats ands kittens.

Recently we posted a picture of Lotus having enrichment time on a play mat (first photo). She was shy and timid at first when she was brought into the shelter. Over time, she has become one of the sweetest cats. She has had several people calling about her. She was spayed this week and has an upcoming meet-and-greet with a family. We are very positive about her meeting with this family.
