Wagon Tails Farm Rescue: Kia Pet Adoption Grant Report
How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?
This grant allowed us to waive the adoption fees for two feral cats who were brought into our care and needed extremely specific homes that they ended up finding with their foster homes (total sponsored value: $300).
We were also able to find homes for 10 cats and kittens with a $50 partial sponsorship during our Home for the Howlidays promotion.

Mauser is a girl who is afraid of the world, and honestly, we can’t blame her. Mauser was caught in a feral trap by a good Samaritan who was just trying to help and asked us to help by getting her into rescue for vetting and a new home.
While Mauser was young, she was older than we’d initially thought, and she had zero knowledge of humans. Mauser spent her days petrified in a crate as her first foster tried to work on socializing her.
She was moved after a couple weeks to a more experienced foster who has multiple other cats to see if she could pull Mauser out of her shell. Mauser slowly started to come around, making friends with other cats and running less and less from the humans.
But when Mauser was taken in to get spayed and had to spend a day with unfamiliar humans, it quickly became apparent that she did not trust the world, just her foster home.
After several months in foster care, it became apparent that Mauser was not meant for adoption to a new family, and her foster parents asked to adopt her so they could keep her safe and loved for all her years to come.
