Eleventh Hour Rescue: Bar Dog Operation Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

We used this generous grant for supplies and enrichment of our kennel dogs' lives. As no-kill rescue, we have dogs who live with us sometimes long-term. We strive to provide them with enrichment activities every day.

We used the funds for enrichment supplies such as food puzzles, Kongs, toys, balls, and agility equipment to help us enrich our dogs' lives. We also take the dogs on pack walks, outings, and day trips. We were able to purchase supplies such as leashes, collars, harnesses, and "Adopt Me" vests and sleeves to help with this.

These supplies enabled us to safely and securely enrich our dogs' lives and get them seen as adoptable pups. Ultimately, all of these things help our dogs to live enjoyable lives with us in our kennel while they await their forever homes. These supplies also allow us to help build our dogs' confidence, which ultimately makes them more adoptable.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

One of our dogs, Sampson (first photo), is a very energetic dog.

Sampson absolutely loves balls. Any type of ball: big, small, hard, soft, squeaky, etc. If it is a ball, Sampson loves it.

Being a rough-and-tumble player, Sampson needed some tough toy balls to play with. This grant enabled us to purchase tough jolly balls for Sammy!

We are also delighted to share that a couple of months ago, after several years with us, Sampson was adopted! He is thriving and living his best life with his new mom. And we made sure to send his favorite jolly balls home with him!
