Friends of Camden Animal Shelter, dba Animal Adoption Center: Dog Field Trip/Short-Term Fostering Grant Report

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

This helped us purchase the necessary items that were needed to set our fosters up for success. They were given the tools to get their foster dogs out and about so that they could get noticed. We have had several adoptions from this, including by volunteers who have taken the dogs out on day trips.

How many pets did this grant help?

100

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped.

We pulled Brittany (first photo) and Bachelor (third photo) from our overcrowded local city shelter in August 2022. They had both sat here with absolutely no interest from anyone and we had no idea why — they were both such amazing dogs.

One of our fosters decided to take Brittany first. She only had her for a couple of days; she took her out and showed her off with her Adopt Me leash and a family saw her, fell in love, and she is now in foster-to-adopt (second photo).

The same foster took Bachelor next and the story repeated itself word-for-word. Bachelor is now in foster-to-adopt (fourth photo) and we could not be happier for these two.
